The Itinerary
Day 1 The Salt Flat
The Salt Flat
We begin at the iconic Train Cemetery on the edge of Uyuni — rusting locomotives that once served the mining era. From Colchani we enter the salt: Salt Eyes, towering salt mounds, the Dakar monument. Lunch is served at a table in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by white to every horizon. Isla Incahuasi rewards a short hike with a 360° panorama of the flat. We end the day watching the sun melt into the salt — with a glass of wine. Overnight in San Juan.

Day 2 Lagoons & Flamingos
Lagoons & Flamingos
Heading south from San Juan, we pass the remote Salar de Chiguana and stop at the Ollague volcano viewpoint before reaching the altiplano lagoons. Thousands of flamingos feed in the mineral-rich waters of Laguna Hedionda. The afternoon brings the Siloli Desert — where the famous Árbol de Piedra (Stone Tree) has been carved by centuries of wind and sand — and the surreal Montaña de Colores. We close the day at Laguna Colorada, its red waters electric against the snow-capped peaks. Overnight in Huayllajara.
Highlights
Day 3 Geysers, Hot Springs & Laguna Verde
Geysers, Hot Springs & Laguna Verde
An early start — 05:30am — to reach the Sol de Mañana geysers at sunrise, when steam erupts most dramatically at 5,000m. The ground bubbles with volcanic activity and the air smells of sulphur. We descend to the open-air hot springs of Polques (35°C) before crossing the Dalí Desert, where ochre, rust, and white minerals create a landscape that looks painted. Laguna Verde shimmers mineral-green beneath the cone of Licancabur. The tour ends here: return to Uyuni, or continue with a transfer to San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.
